• Two Phases:

  Show cross consists of two distinct phases: show jumping (SJ) and cross-country (XC).

   

  Show Jumping:

  The SJ phase takes place in an indoor or all-weather arena, where riders navigate a course of jumps.
  

   

  Cross-Country:

  The XC phase takes place in a larger, outdoor arena with a cross-country course featuring a variety of fences and obstacles.
